shell inspiration

In my research, I looked at shells for inspiration because of the varieties of shapes, textures, and patterns that can be found on them. In particular, I was inspired by the ridges of the shells to create knitted rib samples, as well as using the shape of the scallop shell to use as a pattern for crochet samples. I experimented with these in different yarns.
