Design Development

For my design development I have done thorough research into the history of garments from the past 100 years, for my final pieces I will be taking inspiration from things like the Aran jumper, because of it is made from the number of different knittied panels, and from media influences for example movies and TV shows; from these I will be using Armour influences.

As you can see from my previous posts I have a made a large number of samples using a variety of yarns, stitches and techniques. I have photographed all of my samples on various parts of the mannequin to see where the suit to be places on the body and from this I have recorded them in my sketchbook with a number of drawings of how they could be used for possible garments.
